My New Year’s Resolutions

Hey y’all! I hope you started the year 2015 well! I love the idea of the New Year’s Resolutions, but I have never been able to actually keep them. Why? Maybe it’s because the things that I put on my list were unrealistic? Maybe because I wasn’t motivated enough? Maybe those goals weren’t the right goals? Probably all of the above.  But I won’t give up! Everything is possible when God is on your side and all things work together for good.

This year, I actually took a while to compile my list. It’s full of things that will hopefully draw me closer to the LORD.

So, here I am again … with my New Year’s Resolutions … I hope they will inspire you and help you grow in your walk with Christ.



1. Read the Bible cover to cover 

I already have a habit of reading my Bible every day, but this year, I really want read it from front to back.

2. Blog at least twice a week

This one doesn’t need to be explained. I just really want get in the habit of writing.

3. Exercise at least 4 times a week

Ugh. This one is the worst. However, after reading a book written by Candace Cameron Bure (Reshaping It All), I finally realized that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and I have to treat it that way.

4. Drink more water and eat healthier

Because exercise is only one part of maintaining good health, I really want to be more aware of the things that I put into my body. I’m not saying that I won’t ever eat sweets or drink only water, but I will think twice about what I eat and drink.

5. Bring more people to Christ

This one is tough. I think we all have couple (a lot) of people in our lives who are not saved. It might be uncomfortable to share the gospel with friends, but stop for a minute and think. You don’t want them to go to Hell. And we never know how much time do we have left with those people.
