Wow! Can you believe March is gone? I know… it has been gone for sixteen days. But since I haven’t had time to post my March Favorites until now, let’s just pretend we are not half way through April already. Thank you all! I really appreciate it!
March was one of those I-have-absolutely-no-time-to-read months. However, being the bookworm I am, I did squeeze in a couple of hours of reading. And yes, it mostly happened during the time I was supposed to be exercising.
I’m about half way through this book, but it has been such a blessing and encouragement. In this book, Jim Berg teaches how to build an intimate and completely satisfying relationship with God through exposure to God Himself. If your spiritual life isn’t what it could be, this book will not only challenge and encourage you to make the changes you need to make, but will also provide practical steps and build your faith to do so.
This is the first Elizabeth George book I have read and it certainly will not be the last!!! It is really an eye opener and a path finder of a busy women’s problems. The seven different aspects which are mentioned in this book are really true and helped me personally to evaluate my life . The management strategies given are simple and easy to follow.
This book was actually written by my pastor. We are currently using it for our weekly Ladies’ Bible Study and it has been a huge blessing to many. “The stars are there all the time,” says Pastor Sexton, “but it takes the darkness to reveal them to us.” He goes on to say, “…we must remove all secondary causes and see by faith the gracious hand of God.”
Call the Midwife has been one of my “cozy” shows for a long time. It is set in late 50s in the East End of London and is, as the title suggests, about a group of midwives who deal with the welfare of pregnant women and of course deliver their babies. However, because of the nature of the show, I would not recommend it as a “family show.” Seasons 1-5 are available on Netflix and season 6 is now airing on PBS.
I absolutely love Mary Berry! Just hearing her voice gives my mood a boost almost instantly. Having watched many a series of “Bake Off”, I’ve come to love her pithy comments and excitement when she’s digging in to a piece of cake – a trait I can certainly relate to! The Lemon Meringue Pie recipe is very easy. Just give it a chance … I promise you will love it.
A month ago, I didn’t even know that Neesees Dresses Boutique existed. Today, I am absolutely in love! Some of their dresses can be pricey, but it’s worth it to keep an eye on their clearance. So, if you’re looking for fashionable, yet modest clothes, you definitely need to check out Neesees website.
And that’s it for Marie’s March Favorites. Now it’s time to hear from you! Are any of these your favorites as well? Is there something you would like to recommend? Please leave a comment or get in touch with me through Twitter/Facebook/Instagram. Have a blessed week!
